Good Times Are Killing Me Tour 2025

When you’re in Bonner - all us locals know there’s no other place to experience live music and immaculate vibes quite like KettleHouse, located right in the heart of the city and just adjacent to the Blackfoot River. We are SO excited to invite the living legends of art rock and post punk to the stage as they take on their 2025 The Good TImes Are Killing Me World Tour, which will be making a quick stop here at the KettleHouse Amphitheater for all of our 2000s rock inspired pleasure. Hitting stops quite literally all over the world - the two bands will be touring in Atlanta at The Roxy, Thompson’s Point in Maine, Chicago’s Salt Shed, four dates across California - including in L.A. and San Diego, two nights in Tokyo, and of course - right here at KettleHouse on September 16th. 

The Flaming Lips are no secret to the limelight or the heights of rock and roll, indie rock infused fame. The band got their start in the early 80s in OKC, and have since made themselves one of the most recognizable bands in the industry with songs like She Don’t Use Jelly and their magnum opus album Yoshimi Battles Of The Pink Robots. For all their hard work, they have won three GRAMMYs, and were placed on Q Magazine’s 50 Bands You Want To See Before You Die list back in 2002. So - it goes without saying that their live shows are absolutely killer. Described as visually spectacular, psychedelic theater, and above all a great time - the guys are known for putting on a show you still MUST see even twenty years on from the ranking. And with it being the 20th anniversary of Yoshimi Battles - you just won’t want to miss this one when they come to town.

Despite their name - Modest Mouse has made everything but a modest impact on the punk rock and alternative punk genres. Coming up in Washington in the early 90s, the founding members set out to just make good music - but ended up being pioneers of all the genres they parlay in, and using guitar riffs and off kilter rhythms to make a sound that is absolutely experimental - but highly accessible. Their magnum opus projects, The Moon & Antarctica and Good News For People Who Love Bad News helped bring their sound, and indie rock at large, to the entire world. And - they also put on a great live show, too!
