KettleHouse Amphitheater
The Dead South come to the KettleHouse Amphitheater on Saturday, June 13th. You know that the bond between a band and a venue is extra special when they release unique promo posters for a singular date. That's exactly what we got when the news broke that The Death South will be headed back to Booner, Montana, this summer. It's shaping up to be a day filled with sad cowboy songs that are going to be kicking off with an Amigo The Devil Performance.
This solo act's gonna hopefully set the tone for the night. Amigo The Devil is coming in with a new album titled "Yours Until the War is Over." Might want to give that one a listen to make sure that you're fully set to enjoy this performance at the KettleHouse Amphitheater from cover to cover.
Once that's over, the main event from The Death South will take the stage. It's a night to lean into the Bluegrass roots from this band and experience a performance that's loved by locals, but artists in this genre are going the way of the dodo. That's why you can't afford to miss The Dead South in Booner. Click that "Buy Tickets" link now.
It was 2014 when The Dead South released their Good Company Album. There's no question that it happens to be THE release that made the band. This is where fans were first treated to "In Hell I'll Be In Good Company" and "Banjo Odyssey", which to this day continue to be two of the most popular tracks from the band. Then we got 2019's "Sugar and Joy." You could say that it was the album that cemented The Dead South into bluegrass lore. "Broken Cowboy" and "Black Lung" come from that release. The show at the KettleHouse Amphitheater is set to feature all of these songs that made the band great!
The presence of Amigo The Devil to kick things off is a clear sign of where this concert could potentially go. It's interesting that The Dead South would choose a performer who's more into the indie rock scene without the heavy country background. That's probably because The Dead South aren't your typical "Americana" band by any means. This performance will feature some deeper guitar lines and the sad cowboy songs mentioned earlier. It might be best enjoyed with a stiffer drink compared to your regular country outing. That's mainly because these songs also cut much deeper into a man than your average huntin' and fishin' track. It's the slap in the face type of experience that you maybe didn't know you needed.
Most of the venue, whether it be the pit or the GA area in the back, will feature a first-come, first-served spot designation. That's why you want to make sure you get here early. If you're looking for the more comfortable spots inside the amp, then those in the middle with designated seats might fit the bill for you.
Right now, you can find some really good deals on tickets for this The Dead South performance. Pit spots are going for a tad over $100, and GA passes only cost around $75. Hit the "Buy Tickets" link now to grab yours.
